Zhu Zhu Pets creators, The Magic House team up to give free activities for kids

It's no secret that many families across St. Louis and around the country have been struggling to make ends meet in this changing economy the last few years.   With necessities becoming the main focus for many families, extra activities such as visits to local attractions may have been forced out of the budget.   If your family has been affected in this way, or you are just someone who tries to live as frugally as possible , you will be pleased to know that The Magic House children's museum is now offering even more free admission days.

In addition to their Target Free Family Nights , every third Friday evening of the month, The Magic House announced yesterday that they will now be offering Wonder-full Wednesdays as well.  The St. Louis based company, Cepia LLC , makers of the now well-known Zhu Zhu Pets brand, has provided a grant to The Magic House, which they are passing along in savings to their patrons.   The usual admission price of $8.75 per person will be waived on Wednesday nights from June 15th through August 31st, 2011.   

Families, up to six people, will be admitted completely free of charge during the hours of 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.    Two adults and four children may make up your group of six.  While you do not need to make reservations, The Magic House does have a maximum capacity of 1,000 guests.  For that reason, it is best to arrive early, in case they should have a high turn out.

Wonder-full Wednesday visitors will be able to enjoy all the exhibits at The Magic House, just as they would with a paid admission.   So, if you've been missing out on family fun due to budget crunches, Wednesday nights are a great time to bring the kids out and let them enjoy learning and playing at one of St. Louis' best attractions for kids.  The Magic House features exhibits where children can experiment with music, science, art, math, logic and more!   Kids will love watching their shadows stick to the wall, making a giant collage of gears that really turn, sifting sand, playing water games, building a magnetic sculpture, playing make believe in the many pretend play areas, fishing, solving mysteries, making a 3-D impression of themselves and the hundreds of other exhibits The Magic House has to offer.   And of course, a visit to The Magic House wouldn't be complete without a few, or maybe a few dozen, races down the giant multi-level slide.

Wonder-full Wednesdays at The Magic House will put the wonder back in your child's imagination and the wonderful back in your family budget.
