Uma festa que nunca acaba

Sem receio de soar nostálgico, o bom e velho rock'n roll segue, em Natal, seu rumo de carona com representantes legítimos da onda que tomou conta da moçada nos anos 1950, 60 e 70. Bebendo na fonte do estilo que imortalizou os Beatles e catapultou a Jovem Guarda como fenômeno cultural, a banda Anos 60 comemora 25 anos de estrada com "Uma festa de arromba", evento que toma conta da AABB nesta sexta-feira, às 22h, e marca o lançamento do CD/DVD gravado ao vivo em novembro do ano passado. A noitada, que é 'uma brasa, mora!?', fecha programação com presença da banda Perfume de Gardênia.

Para contar um pouco dessa trajetória, percorrida ao longo deste quarto de século em boa parte dos bares e clubes da cidade, o músico Reinaldo Azevedo, guitarrista, vocalista e um dos fundadores da banda Anos 60, conversou com a reportagem da TRIBUNA DO NORTE mas, antes de qualquer coisa, por detrás de seus óculos redondos a lá John Lennon e da vasta cabeleira, frisa com todas as letras: "Não somos uma banda cover, fazemos questão de imprimir nossa personalidade através dos arranjos, da forma de interpretar".

Apreciador de uma boa cerveja gelada, Azevedo contou que tudo começou - como não poderia deixar de ser - a ganhar forma em uma mesa de bar: "Estava com a rapaziada conversando sobre a vontade de fazer um show de MPB no Teatro Alberto Maranhão, mas quando nos reunimos para ensaiar surgiu a fatídica pergunta: qual vai ser nosso repertório? Até que trouxe minha coleção de discos de rock e blues. O tal show de MPB nunca vingou", diverte-se. Seus parceiros nessa época eram Mário Henrique, Ivanildo Carvalho, Levi e Jorge Luiz - Azevedo e Jorge são os únicos remanescentes da formação original.

"Começamos a tocar informalmente, até que a coisa foi ficando cada vez mais séria a partir, inclusive, da enorme receptividade do público. Tocamos muito no De repente... pastel, antiga lanchonete localizada no conjunto Alagamar, no Badaladeira, também em Ponta Negra, e no Café Nice, Alecrim. Mas considero nossa primeira apresentação formal, com direito a cachê e tudo, no clube da Aspetro (hoje CEPE)", disse. O grupo já dividiu palco com a dupla Leno e Lilian, e abriu shows para Wanderléa, The Fevers, Golden Boys e Renato e Seus Blue Caps.
