Houses come in many different sizes and shapes. The way they look can tell you something about the owner. For those pressure washing vinyl siding on their own for the first time it’s important to be aware that there is more to it than simply spraying the house down. There are certain methods and even safety considerations that you need to be familiar with before you begin.

First of all, make sure you are using the right water pressure. 1000 psi is the right amount. Take note of the gallons per minute of your machine so you have an idea of how long the job will take you. Also, make sure you know what cleaning solutions are most effective and steer clear of any that my cause damage or streaking of your siding.

Be sure to consult the instructions for the machine you are using, but also get information about pressure washing vinyl siding. There are some tips that will make the job much less frustrating. For example, knowing to start at the bottom and work up instead of vice versa can save you from ending up with streaks and having to start over again.
